Hunting

I walk beside Tao as we enter the dark woods. I sniff the air excitedly, then gently nip Tao before loping a little ways, til the underbrush halted me. I begin to sniff the ground for prey-scent.

Tao laughed and loped after her. He stopped just short of her and watched her higtened senses taking over before joining her. His ears pricked as he heard a twig snap, "Here" he nudged her before loping down a dirt track.

I quickly follow, bursting into a clearing in a moment, leaping at the doe standing there. I rake my claws over her haunches, then grab her back with my jaws.

Tao lopped to her side and sat down "Having fun?" he smiled at her enthusiasm

I growl savagely, mouth full of deer.
I shake back and forth, and the deer falls, neck broken.

"Thanks for helping DEER"
I crack up, rolling on my back.

"Get it?? Dear, DEER!!"

"Ahhhhhahahahahahahaah"

I smile, then sit.

"I'm good.'

He playfully nudged her "Don't give up your day job hun'" he laughedwatching her roll around the ground.

I smile, then nod for him to take his pick of the steaming meat.

Tao smiled at her and began to eat.

I smile and join him, ripping savagely into the red meat. I guzzle a strip down, then lick a drop of blood from Tao's muzzle before eating more.

Tao plopped down and promptly rolled onto his back "Ohhh my stomach" he groaned growling softly.

I smile and lick his tummy. "I'm the one carrying other beings in me." I wince as one of the pups shifts.

Tao shot to his feet when he saw her wince "Are you okay?" he asked his features creased in concern for her.

"Fine, just a little shifting, thats all." I smile softly and nuzzle my stomach.

He moved to her side and nuzzled her neck "As long as that's all it is" he replied smiling at her.

I smile and lick his nose before rolling onto my back.

Tao moved to her side and lay down. He yawned and nuzzled her belly, "I still can't believe it" he yawned

I half-groan, half-sigh.
"I can" I stretch out a little bit, tired of having to worry about my pups. "They're gonna be a handful." I close my eyes, resting.

He smiled and nuzzled her "Like their mum then" he replied laughing

I smile jokingly, then groan as I feel pressure near my tail.

"I think they want to come out soon... maybe today."

I close my eyes and lay my head on the ground.

Tao prang to his feet "Are you okay?" he asked excitement and anxiety mixed in to one

I cock an eyebrow at his sudden excitement. "I'm fine. It depends on what they plan on doing."

I make my way to my feet, then waddle to the pool of water.

Tao smiled and perched at th edge of the pond
